Our Story
MedPhysicals Plus, LLC (MPP) was founded by owner Jessica Roley in 2012. We started solely as a health information company, servicing insurance companies with exams for new applicants. From the start, our service focused on convenience and service, going the extra mile to offer services at a place and time that works the best for the client.
Since then, the company has evolved to provide allied health services of all types! Human resource managers, attorneys and private individuals alike would rather use MPP than go to a doctor’s office or a traditional medical laboratory. Beyond shorter wait times for services, flexible weekday or weekend appointments, convenience in the location where the services are provided result to overall efficiency, which then translates to cost savings for both consumers and companies who call on MPP.
MPP has always distinguished itself as a market leader by enabling customers and businesses to make confident decisions, sustaining partnerships that inspire people to be healthy, and promoting innovation to deliver customer value.

Jessica Roley
Director of Operations
The fearless leader of MedPhysicals Plus! After receiving her MBA from the University of Washington, Jessica Roley founded MedPhysicals Plus, LLC. She brings more than three decades of health information industry leadership experience to the company! Prior to MPP, Jessica gained work experience in the medical laboratory field before she served in various capacities at a national paramedical firm out of New Jersey. She has extensive leadership experience in the paramedical field, leading several offices in Alaska and the Lower 48.
Jessica currently serves on the College of Business and Public Policy Advisory Board (CBPP-AB) at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). She is a current member and past board member of the Alaska chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), as well as current member and past President of the Alaska chapter of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS). Jessica was also a “Big Sister” volunteer and past Anchorage chapter board member for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska.
Jessica credits innovation as well as flexibility and partnership with all concerned parties as key to her success. Jessica is a strong personal proponent of the “high tech, high touch” approach that our clients have grown to love and expect.
Vernesia Gordon, CMA
Office Operations Supervisor
Vernesia’s name is always coming up in our Google reviews! As a paramedical examiner and specimen collector, she has a way of making clients feel calm, seen, and valued! In her role as Office Operations Supervisor, she is the “face” of the MPP headquarters in Anchorage. Vernesia is a certified medical assistant (CMA) by training. In her supervisory role, she’s responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the operations across our offices. She keeps good rapport with our staff and customers alike!
Derrell Sturdivant
Finance Manager
Derrell is responsible for all aspects of financial management of MPP. In her role, Derrell leads and provides strategic direction to a team of talented finance professionals and problem solvers, covering accounting and financial planning to execute our profitable growth strategy.
Derrell has over 30 plus years of management in the health information industry. An experienced manager with excellent client and financial management skills, Derrell is action-oriented with a strong ability to communicate effectively with technology, executive, and business audiences.
Derrell holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ryan Roley
Liaison Officer
Ryan is responsible for the coordination of all public relations initiatives for MPP. He is the leader of our marketing communications team, which is responsible for maintaining our corporate image and enhancing brand awareness. Ryan’s responsibility is to maintain a thorough understanding of the Health and Safety industry trends that influence the local community and MPP’s clients. Ryan is the representative of MPP in our involvement and membership with the Associated General Contractors of Alaska (AGC), Resource Development Council for Alaska (RDC), Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, and Business Network International (BNI – Platinum Business Builders Chapter).
Ryan holds a law degree from Willamette University in Salem, OR. Ryan’s interests include public speaking, fly-fishing, pack-rafting, and off-road e-biking.
Anna LaRocco Masi
Marketing & Business Development Manager
Anna specializes in social media campaigns, digital strategy, and press relations. With 7+ years of experience, she brings creative and data-driven solutions to every project. Anna has a husky named Helsinki and has lived in Morocco and France while visiting 28 other countries. She’s also the creator of Petwrk, a social app for pet owners, and co-hosts a podcast about millennial life.
