What Alaska Employers Need to Know
Alaska DMV currently states that it has not yet integrated with FMCSA’s National Registry II system. Alaska CDL and CLP holders who are required to maintain medical certification still need to request and maintain the physical MCSA-5876 Medical Examiner’s Certificate for Alaska DMV credential requirements.
Employers should make sure drivers understand that completing the DOT physical is not necessarily the final step. Required certification information must also be properly maintained with Alaska DMV.
